They specialize in writing efficient SQL and PL/SQL code, creating database objects, and ensuring data integrity and performance across systems.
Job Responsibilities
- High degree of proficiency in design and development of analytical models to support retail and wholesale analytics
- Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code including procedures, functions, triggers, and packages
- Create and manage database objects like tables, indexes, views, and constraints
- Tune SQL queries to optimize database performance
- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Support production environments with bug fixes, patches, and performance enhancements
Collaboration and Communication
- Explain complex PL/SQL logic or database architecture in simple terms to stakeholders
- Communicate with external clients or vendors to gather requirements and provide support
- Work closely with DBAs, developers, analysts, and project managers to align database solutions with business needs
- Collaborate with non-technical business users to understand data requirements and deliver solution
- Documentation: Create clear, structured documentation for procedures, packages, and system workflow
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Retail experience preferred. B2C experience necessary
- Deep knowledge of SQL and Analytical/Semantic data modeling
- Experience with Reporting Software (IBM Cognos 10+, SSRS, PowerBI, Oracle BI, etc) is a plus.
- Some travel may be required
