The Ideal Candidate
The Income Tax Accountant will be responsible for assisting the Tax Manager with federal, state, local, and international income tax filings. This position will also prepare annual reports and assist with quarterly estimated payments and extensions. The Income Tax Accountant will assist the Tax Manager in audits, research, protests, income tax accounting, special projects, and planning opportunities. Responsible for maintaining tax calendar, expense reports, and maintaining all income tax work papers and files.

How You Will Make an Impact
- Assist with the income tax return processing, payment, and filing
- Maintain departmental store listing for all new additions, closures, and address changes
- Assist in preparation of extensions and quarterly estimated payments
- Prepare check requests for state income tax compliance
- Compute and file annual reports
- Assist in maintaining state income/franchise tax schedules for calculating estimated payments and extensions
- Assist in providing documents needed in audits
- Respond to notices & phone calls related to income tax
- Process and mail all returns, reports, and miscellaneous items
- Organize and maintain tax files
- Maintain Excel spreadsheet listing of filing due dates
- Assisting filing tax returns
Experience and Skills You'll need to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with major courses in Taxation and Accounting is required
- Eligibility to acquire CPA certification preferred
Functional/Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of Advanced Excel and Word applications
- Knowledge of state and local income/franchise tax laws
- Ability to learn the company's legal structure, divisional policies, procedures and accounting systems
- Ability to learn One Source products and Alteryx
Behavioral Competencies:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines by prioritizing and utilizing organizational skills
